About this role

I-MED Radiology Network is pleased to be offering an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high quality nursing support and recovery services to the busy team within our Werribee clinics (Wyndham, St Vincent's and Hoppers Crossing).

This will be a Part-Time Fixed-Term Contract role covering Wednesday and Fridays with opportunities to pick up shifts throughout, reporting to the Nursing Co-ordinator and working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Key accountabilities include:

• Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure. 
• Interventional Procedures Include: Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages and Pain Management Injections.
• Working collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administrative staff and managers

Key selection criteria:

• Full AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Proven acute nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Well-developed time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work a flexible roster
• Registered nursing experience (2-3 years)

Desirable but not essential:

• Previous Experience in Radiology/Surgical/Procedural Nursing
• Anaesthetic Experience
