About the role:

Reporting to the Tax Manager, we are seeking a dynamic and analytical Tax Accountant to support our team. This is a varied role where you will be involved in a range of duties such as:

• Tax Compliance: Assist in managing all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation/review, filing, and reporting for the Group (including International and JVs). Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations. Manage tax risks in accordance with the Group's Tax Governance Framework.
• Advisory Services: Provide tax advice on operational and business issues related to income tax, GST, FBT, and employment taxes. Monitor and communicate changes to tax laws and their impact on the Group.
• Process Management: Assist in implementing and enhancing end-to-end tax processes and procedures for the Group.

Our ideal candidate:

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business or Accounting. Post-graduate qualifications CA ANZ or CPA Australia.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a corporate or similar tax role, in a large corporate and/or professional services firm. Proven track record in tax compliance, tax accounting and tax advisory (FBT and employment taxes experience highly desirable).
• Technology: Strong Excel skills and experience in tax technology software (CCH Integrator and NTAA FBT highly desirable).
• Mindset: Growth mindset, innovative and practical problem solving. Strong analytical skills to dissect information and provide actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively negotiate and communicate with all levels of stakeholders. Strong written and verbal skills to articulate complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
